“Road to the Pros” is a documentary about young boxers in St. Louis and the rich history of amateur boxing here. From young men – sometimes troubled – to aspiring Golden Gloves athletes, there is a great variety of motivations to take up boxing. The film offers many interviews with trainers and managers, many of whom have been involved in boxing all their lives and many who offer their coaching and expertise for no charge to help these young men – and women – to learn and master their sport.
